KISS AND TELL

OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Alaf Photographic exhibition 2008– call for submissions

It’s that time of year again when girls get out their cameras and get creative for the 2008 alaf photography exhibition, on show at Filmbase over the alaf weekend from the 4th -  6th July 2008.

The theme for this year’s show is “Kiss and Tell”.

Every day, all across this great nation of ours, women of every colour, age, shape and size kiss each other in a million different ways, for many different reasons, and in myriad different circumstances.  As often as not, however, all this fabulous kissing takes place behind closed doors, and we at alaf feel it is time - purely in the interest of ethnographic research, of course - to show the world this amazing phenomenon in all its glory through the medium of photography.

The only criteria for entries to the photography exhibition is that every picture include a kiss exchanged between people of the female variety. Everything else-time, place, format, size-is up to you, and it can be as sexy or as goofy as you like. So dust off that camera that we all know you haven’t taken out since Christmas and get snogging. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Please feel free to take artistic license in however you choose to represent this theme. Prizes awarded for the most innovative, quirky and downright sexy!

Please send all submissions by post to
